The Rickenbacker 360 - my wife gave me this guitar some years back
for a birthday present. This still surprises me! This is the sweetest sounding guitar I've ever heard - there is no grit in the sound. It can get nasty under gain, though not as nasty as the Tele. I'll get some clips up this year (2007)....really. The Rick has a narrow neck, and fairly low frets, so it's best as a rhythm guitar or for jazz runs -- no big bends. Not that you can't bend -- the finished fingerboard is slick as heck, but to grab those strings with such low frets you have to keep the action up a bit. |

| I find the neck pickup over-dark; the 'higain' pickups Ric does nowadays IMHO don't fit the guitar as well as they should, but the Tristan stompbox works great to tame the bass. I just dial it up a couple notches on the filter, and it cleans up nicely. | ||||
