The A2Pros give the guitar a smooth tone, very sweet, a great Strat sound. This is the latest iteration, there is an entire (black) pickguard that has the nastiest Strat pickup ever made (the Dimarzio SDS-1). I used to have that and a TDS-1 (a weird thing, chrome covered, way overwound ceramic like the SDS-1 but coil tapped) in the neck with a FS-1 (another overwound Dimarzio) occasionally in the middle or the bridge.

I have an old recording of me in the Army long ago wailing on that SDS-1 and a MXR Distortion+ through a Fender Silverface Princeton. It's amazing I was never tossed out of the barracks.
